29709 Linden Lane burned but the house next door and another about 30 yards beyond were spared. the house next door came out just fine but lost their storage building and wood pile. The fire roared right around them. One reason for the damage here and other places might have been cars and boats parked near the house and undergrowth improperly cleared. It's just amazing that 7 months after the fire only 1 house is under contruction and several others permitted. For most homeowners their temporary housing allowance runs out in November, 1 year from the fire. The county has done little to speed up the process to get these people rebuilt.
